CC Livestock Central is a hub of activity during the three days
of Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show. Among all that activity will be
new demonstrations for the sheep industry.
Improving flock management and animal handling are
frequently on the minds of sheep farmers in Canada.The sheep
demonstrations at Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show focus on those
very topics.
According to the Ontario Sheep Marketing Agency (OSMA),
flock management and animal handling can be made easier with the
help of the right sheep handling equipment and software. OSMA is
working in partnership with Brussels Agri Services and the Ontario
Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) to
showcase new sheep handling equipment twice a day.
Sheep farmers can quiz the experts from OSMA, OMAFRA and
Brussels Agri Services at 9:30am and 1:30 pm on September 13, 14
and 15, 2016. Sheep handling demonstrations will be housed at the
OSMA exhibit on 8th Lane in FCC Livestock Central.
More demonstrations that interest sheep farmers include the
daily pasture grazing demonstrations on North Mall, the hay cutting
demonstrations in the Southwest Demo Field and the Grober
Young Animal Development Centre.
