Farm Show Pre-Show Guide 2016
Watch for a 60” by 120” tent bringing everyone together.
T
he team behind Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show is well known
for its collaborative ‘anything is possible’ attitude toward making
big changes for the betterment of the show. In 2016, the team is
making yet another big upgrade.
Starting in June, preparations were already underway at the
Woodstock site for the installation of a larger and relocated
Livestock Pavilion.
“Our exhibitors and farmers spoke. We listened,” says Caitlin
MacLeod, Special Projects and Livestock Co-ordinator.“We’re
excited to welcome livestock producers and companies into our
new larger Livestock Pavilion. It will be worth the wait.”
For many years, FCC Livestock Central and Canada’s Outdoor
Farm Show continue to be one of the nation’s top farm shows
for showcasing multiple species in a central location. As a result,
exhibitors often labour over the best way to reach all their
customers within different sectors of livestock from one central
location at the show. The new Livestock Pavilion sponsored by the
Animal Bedding Company will offer a solution to the dozens of
companies and organizations who want to showcase their full lines
of products.
Another one of the Livestock Pavilion’s most notable benefits
will be its location. This new tent will be constructed directly along
Masonville Lane. This location benefits from the action of the
neighbouring Britespan Dairy Innovation Centre, Grober Young
Animal Development Centre, New-Life Mills Corral and of course
FCC Livestock Central.
Getting Ready to Move
Making room for a 60’ by 120’ tent takes some preparation.
Landscaping crews have already begun preparing the Livestock
Pavilion’s new location beside the pond. In addition to the
preparation happening outside on the grounds at Canada’s Outdoor
Park, there is still lots of preparation to be done logistically.
MacLeod and the Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show team have been
carefully working with current exhibitors in three different pavilions
around the site to create the new Livestock Pavilion.
“It’s exciting to bring everyone together under one roof,” says
MacLeod.
Exhibitors in the Livestock Pavilion are being drawn from
three different pavilions that were previously used for showcasing
livestock products. Companies on display will include feed suppliers,
Farm and Food Care Ontario, bedding suppliers, disinfectant
suppliers and genetics suppliers just to name a few.
It’s no surprise that Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show has a passion
for livestock considering it’s stationed in Canada’s Dairy Capital:
Woodstock, ON. The upsized and relocated Livestock Pavilion will
take that passion to new heights -- literally.
