Farm Show Pre-Show Guide

PROMOTIONAL SUPPLEMENT

Farm Show Pre-Show Guide 2016

Welcome from the

President

I

had the opportunity to begin my career working with the

Ontario 4-H and Junior Farmer programs. Like many of you

reading this, 4-H not only impacted me as a member in my

childhood but also continues to have a lasting impact on my

approach to the many things I do. While organizing leadership

camps and programming during that job, my colleagues and

I were reminded time after time that there really is nothing

more impactful than when someone is taught a new concept

with “Learn To Do By Doing” in mind. The team at Canada’s

Outdoor Farm Show uses this philosophy to feature the show

as a huge opportunity to learn about the technology and

changes in agriculture.

After 23 years of practice, our exhibitors never cease to

amaze me with their creativity and ability to showcase their

products in world-class interactive exhibits. The line-up of

demonstrations and ride’n’drives is more extensive than ever.

We are more interactive than ever. We are facilitating “Learn

To Do By Doing” for farmers more than ever.

Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show is one of the few farm shows

in North America that has the ability to host ride’n’drives

for farmers to really get behind the wheel of new equipment

and experience the technology from the driver’s seat. This

September, our exhibitors are offering the chance for farmers

to experience ride’n’drives like:

-towering self-propelled sprayer ride’n’drives

-nimble 60 to 85 HP sized loader tractor ride’n’drives

-on-road Ram pick-up truck ride’n’drives

-on-road Toyota Tundra pick-up truck ride’n’drives

-brand new Kubota M-7 Series tractor ride’n’drives

On nearly each side of the Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show

grounds farmers can find an interactive ride’n’drive to

participate in. It’s something we are very proud and

appreciative of. These kinds of interactive exhibits at farm

shows are no small feat for companies to organize. We are

grateful to the dozens of hardworking people from each

participating company who are putting in so much care to make

sure equipment is delivered, signs are printed, gas tanks are

filled, an eye on safety and so much more.

I hope that you enjoy reading about the ride’n’drives as well

as the many other interactive activities planned for Canada’s

Outdoor Farm Show this year. Our exhibitors with expertise

in crops, livestock, financial services, construction as well

as other goods and services are also raising the bar in their

displays for this September. We are confident that you and

your family will not want to miss this year’s offering.

I also want to acknowledge the 4-H graduates across Canada

that continue to give much back to keep the 4-H program

evolving with the agriculture industry. Canada’s Outdoor Farm

Show is pleased to be supporting the updating of the “4-H

Ontario Farm Machinery - Harvesting Project” that is to be

released at the 2017 farm show.

Enjoy this special preview of Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show

in Better Farming and we look forward to welcoming you to

Woodstock in a few short weeks.

Sincerely,

Doug Wagner

President
