Casco Inc. is following the lead of its parent company, Ingredion Inc., and changing its name to Ingredion Canada Incorporated effective Oct. 1.
Based in Westchester, Illinois, Ingredion Inc. is a global ingredient provider to the food, beverage, brewing, pharmaceutical and numerous other industries. The company was formerly called Corn Products International Inc. but changed its name in June to better reflect the company’s position as a leading supplier of starch and sweetener ingredients to a range of industries.
Ilene Gordon, chairman, president and chief executive officer, says in a press release the new name better reflects the diversity and growth of the company’s product offerings and is “more representative of the stronger, more global company we have become.”
The company has three corn wet milling facilities in Ontario. BF
