Just in time for prom: KFC chicken corsages Friday, June 6, 2014 Marketing genius? Or just a greasy gimmick? The Daily News reports that 15 out of the 100 available battered broiler bouquets had been sold within the first few days, and the promotional video was viewed over 260,000 times in the first five days. Is this the smell of desperation? Parent company Yum! Brands' website acknowledges KFC "under performed" in the United States in 2013, with unit sales (4,491 million) down 2.75 per cent from 2012.
