Chicken farm appeals financial penalties Thursday, November 3, 2011 by SUSAN MANNA Hagersville-area chicken farm is appealing financial penalties imposed on it by Chicken Farmers of Ontario.The Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Appeal Tribunal will hear the case involving Lowbank Farms Limited on Dec. 13 in Guelph. The hearing will be held in the tribunal boardroom in the Ontario government building on Stone Road.Lowbank is appealing CFO’s decision to implement the financial penalties for quota periods with contracted kilograms that were in excess of the sign up ceiling.
