We feel we have a unique herd, and we see an opportunity in marketing those genetics. How do you measure success? Ericka: We really measure our success by achieving constant small objectives and having those lead to bigger longterm goals. Knowing the long-term viability of our business gives us an opportunity to stay progressive instead of making reactive decisions. Jaime: We like to be big picture people and we enjoy setting goals. Any advice for other farmers? Ericka: Don’t be afraid to take advantage of opportunities and take calculated risks. Jaime: If you don’t know something, there’s probably someone you can ask who would be happy to help you.
