Cut, rake and bale — all in one day. The RB Series features five tine bars with teeth spaced just 2.5 inches apart, allowing for a far more complete capture of crop on the field. A crop press roller is positioned in front of the pickup to enhance crop feeding into the chamber. Two sets of XtraCut™ hydraulically operated knife banks can be controlled or disengaged from the tractor cab. Select zero, eight, nine or all 17 knives to attain forage cuts as small as 2.65 inches in length. The E-link Pro™ touch-screen monitor tracks bale formation and allows in-cab control of cutter engagement and knife group selection. In addition, the baler’s ISOBUS design allows the use of any compatible tractor monitor for baler monitoring and control. Because there’s no cam track, the pickup has fewer moving parts — making it quieter, simpler and more reliable than cam-style pickups. For every bale you make, you’ve got to secure it, transport it, store it. So it’s basic math— the heavier and denser your bales, the more time and money you save. The constant pressure system ensures an equally dense bale throughout, and four continuous belts provide maximum traction while the bale forms, creating the chamber. The mechanical tailgate locking system ensures that the tailgate remains completely closed throughout the baling process, giving you consistently sized bales with little crop loss. All MF4100V balers with a chopping unit come with our unique HydroFlex Control™ (HFC) two-stage anti-blockage system, designed to reduce and resolve blockages quickly and easily. HydroFlex Control is situated under the rotor where the feed passage is at its narrowest. It allows the front part of the feed chamber floor to flex up and down via a rubber suspension unit. If a small foreign object or a wet lump of material is picked up from the swath, this flexing action will smooth out the crop flow, reducing the risk of blockages in the feed area. In the event of a blockage, the rear of the feed table floor can be lowered hydraulically from the operator’s seat. When lowering the feed floor, all knives are withdrawn, ensuring that the blockage has passed into the bale chamber without any crop wastage before the machine is re-engaged.
