The second-year students were grouped together and gave their presentations panel-style. “We had almost a full audience all day. It’s nice to see your hard work pay off.” Farm tours were popular at Farm 4.0. A 20-passenger van was on-site to take visitors through the college, the grain facility, and the dairy barn. “There were two tours in the morning and one in the afternoon,” Molly explains. “The tours filled up really fast, and hopefully we can do more because people loved them. They showcased Lakeland’s student-managed farm facilities and different types of technology. People loved seeing the milking robot – it was a huge hit! “I’m proud of our team, and how we learned to work with people. We did a great job trusting each other in our roles. Everyone worked together seamlessly to solve problems,” Molly says. “It’s an experience I’ll never forget. I love Lakeland and how they’re all about hands-on learning.” BF Talking with experts.
