We've already known climate change losses in Ontario. In 2012 record-breaking temperatures in March and freezing nights in April, we had nearly 85 per cent of apple crops lost in the Province. That was a $60-million loss for Ontario farmers. According to the Ontario Apple Growers association, the provincial economy lost an estimated $350 to $400 million because not as many pickers were hired, and some workers used for packing were laid off.
It's not like we don't know what the weather is like around these parts.

The "Hurt" to Ontario farmers will make the OAG estimate loss for 2012 look like pocket change by the time our Ontario Farm Ag general farm reps get done bending us over for the sake of the Gov.

Also I thought most pickers were TFW's who do not live here so is the estimated loss calculated properly ?

MIT Professor emeritus Richard Lindzen dismisses global-warming alarmists as a discredited “cult” whose members are becoming more hysterical as emerging evidence continues to contradict their beliefs. Link: http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/01/21/mit-climate-scientist...

So, it would appear that ever since the last Ice age we have had " global warming". Politicians and environmental bureaucrats have latched onto the idea of welding CO2 to the cause of natural global warming or cooling. Politicians have also been quick to spin political action regulations as a make work project to spin their economy and make themselves seem productive yet in the end they will only increase economic problems. Climate chages, weather changes, life on earth adapts. Will Ontario joining with Quebec and California change that, unlikely. Will adding more Bureaucrats to administer the "system"increase the cost of doing business in Ontario, likely.
Will more manufacturers relocate to friendlier business climates, likely. Will Ontario benefit, unlikely. Will millions in Toronto still drive their car to work?, likely. Will urban sprawl continue to destroy huge tracts of Ontario's best farmland?,
likely. Do modern farming methods capture atmosphere carbon?, likely Will jumping on the Cap and Trade bandwagon make Toronto MPP's feel good about what they have done?, likely. Would better public transit reduce emissions?,likely.
